Sage
says made this bag during the past summer, which
was very long and very hot. I wanted to do a simple black
and white bag, but decided that it needed some color because
it was starting to look too boring. The butterfly was inspired
by the many butterflies that were butter-ing around the world
at the time.
Feedback
from the person who ordered the bag
Catherine's Banker: "Sage's bag has had a definite, beneficial
effect on Catherine's portfolio."
Catherine's Dad: "She talks to boys now."
Catherine's Mom: "Her room looks neater."
No,
Seriously
An Independent Third Party: "Sage's bag shows artisanry
at its best. The materials are fine; the weave has a thick,
rich feel, and the graphic design has beauty and flavor. It
is perfectly suited as the special gift we hoped to give to
our daughter on her birthday, something she will cherish and
perhaps hand down to her own daughter some day."
Whoever
commissions work with Sage will sense they are working with
a dedicated and able artisan, one who is absolutely honest
in her art as well as in her business dealings. She knows
she is making things which, in their beauty and craft, are
worthy of the needs and memories of the user. Ten years from
now her work of today will not become hand-me-downs, they
will be heirlooms.
